What is laser therapy?
OrthoLazer is a clinic utilizing laser therapy to help treat patients that are post-surgical, have an acute injury, and/or chronic conditions like arthritis. OrthoLazer Centers use the MLS M8 Robotic Laser Therapy technology. It is the most advanced therapy laser on the market today and is FDA-cleared to treat pain and inflammation. The treatment is non-invasive, fully automated, and completely safe.
The laser therapy device emits specific wavelengths of light. Light energy enters the damaged cells and stimulates intracellular activity. This reduces pain in the treated area and speeds recovery time.

What can I expect with laser treatment?
The actual treatment time and number of treatments needed will vary based on the condition. With that said, the average treatment at OrthoLazer takes about 4-10 minutes to complete, and patients typically need an average of 7-10 treatments to see improvement. Patients may experience a comfortable sensation at the treatment site, but it is not painful.
As the treatment plan progresses, most patients will have a gradual improvement in pain and inflammation. Some patients may respond more quickly to the treatment, and others may take longer if the condition is more chronic in nature.
The effects of MLS M8 Robotic Laser Therapy are cumulative. This means that it is important for patients to complete the entire course of treatments recommended by Dr. Black. Discontinuing the treatments prior to completing the entire course of care will likely result in the return of symptoms.
